BLUETONGUE UPDATE 17.02.2025

Salisbury Livestock Market is now in the extended Bluetongue Restricted Zone. Bluetongue testing is still beneficial to access all customers. Animals coming out of the Zone without being Bluetongue tested can stay in the Zone to live or go anywhere directly to slaughter

Clients wishing to apply for Bluetongue Licences for animals to come out of the restricted zone to Salisbury Market for onward movement anywhere need licence EXD632 which can be reached from the link below.

For your application you will need the following details: -

The ear numbers and details of the animals.

The market CPH number 45/213/8000.

A ten digit grid reference for the market – you can use

SU1171429237, although there are a multitude of numbers within the market shed.

Our vets: Synergy Farm Health

Email: office@synergyfarmhealth.com

Once you have a licence number you can contact

admin@ukfarmcare.com to organise a blood test through your own vet,

it would be sensible to talk to your vet first. At this point you can clarify if you will have any costs.

You must apply for a licence at least 10 days before the movement date and your blood test should last for 21 days now, please check your licence. The test day is day zero.

It would be sensible to reserve your place in the market and make sure you have haulage before you organise the blood test.
